What is the proxiBox controller used for?
The proxiBox is a wireless WiFi proximity sensor used to trigger actions and control other Blebox devices simply by waving your hand, without having to physically touch the surface.
How many actions can be programmed into the proxiBox?
The proxiBox can trigger up to 30 different programmed actions by waving your hand; the controller distinguishes between short and long signals, allowing different functions to be assigned to each type of gesture.
How is the proxiBox controller powered?
The proxiBox controller is powered by a low DC voltage in the range of 12–24 V DC. The device has a very low power consumption of less than 1 W. It is recommended to use a high-quality power supply. Using a ‘no-name’ power supply with high levels of interference may cause the device to malfunction.
Where can the proxiBox be used?
The proxiBox is designed to be fitted beneath a non-conductive surface, allowing the controller to be concealed out of sight and creating the effect of ‘magical’ control with no visible buttons. The device can be fitted beneath surfaces up to 3 cm thick, such as ceramic tiles, furniture worktops, partition walls or decorative panels. It cannot be fitted beneath metal surfaces or certain types of mirrors.
The proxiBox controller is behaving strangely – what should I do?
It is recommended that you use a high-quality power supply. Using a ‘no-name’ power supply that produces significant interference may cause the device to malfunction. In addition, it is recommended that you keep the controller away from any high-power devices. The device must not be mounted beneath metal surfaces or certain types of mirrors.
