What is the inBox BleBox controller used for?
InBox is a miniature, battery-powered Wi-Fi controller designed for the remote control of BleBox devices using between one and four external monostable (bell-type) buttons. The device enables wireless control of roller shutters, gates, lighting and other electrical appliances without the need to run wires between the buttons and the controllers.
How does the inBox remote control communicate?
InBox communicates directly with devices using the encrypted uWiFi protocol, operating in the 2.4 GHz band, which does not require a connection to a Wi-Fi router or an internet connection. The transmission is two-way and interference-resistant, and communication between the remote control and the BleBox controllers takes place using μWiFi technology, ensuring feedback, rapid response and the security of commands.
How is the inBox powered?
The inBox is battery-powered and uses a CR2477 battery (3V). Under typical use, the battery in the inBox should last up to 5 years, depending on the frequency of use (number of button presses) and environmental conditions.
What is the maximum number of devices that can be assigned to an inBox?
A maximum of 7 devices per channel can be assigned to a single inBox. As the inBox has 4 channels (4 inputs for buttons), it can support up to 28 devices.
What is the range of the inBox?
The inBox controller has a range of up to 100 metres in open terrain and up to 40 metres indoors. The actual communication range depends on the structure and topography of the terrain, as well as architectural obstacles, including the thickness of walls between the devices.
How do I pair or unpair the inBox with BleBox controllers?
Instructions on pairing and unpairing are available in the device manual and in the wBox app.
