What is the rollerGate used for, and how does it differ from the gateBox / gateBoxPro controller?
It is a dedicated controller for roller gates fitted with a tubular motor powered by 230V. Unlike the gateBox, it acts as an integrated control unit for the motor. The rollerGate controller, like the gateBoxPro, has an external antenna socket which, together with the included antenna, extends the controller’s range.
The device allows the gate position (0–100 per cent) to be monitored without the need for additional encoders or reed switches. It features inputs for safety systems (light barriers and pressure strips). In addition, the controller is fitted with a front touch-sensitive control panel with coloured backlighting to indicate operating states.
Can an additional button or wired remote control be connected to the rollerGate?
Yes, a monostable button can be connected. The rollerGate controller is fitted with a step-by-step connector, allowing control in a move-stop-move-in-the-opposite-direction sequence. The next ‘step’ occurs after each pulse – on the rising edge (when the button is pressed).
In addition, the rollerGate has three extra pins (up, stop, down) allowing you to connect a wired industrial remote control.
It also supports wireless buttons with the inBox module, which operates for up to 5 years on a single battery, as well as uRemote remote controls.
Can a remote control be paired with the rollerGate controller?
Yes! This is possible with the rechargeable uRemote remote, which lasts up to 18 months on a single charge! You can also control it using the sRemote remote control or the inBox module, which lasts up to 5 years on a single battery!
What safety features and warning functions does rollerGate support?
The following can be connected to the rollerGate controller:
a light barrier
a pressure bar
an external warning
light. In addition, the controller panel indicates the gate’s status and any faults via coloured backlighting.
Does the rollerGate controller work with the Google Home or Alexa voice assistant?
Yes, the rollerGate controller is supported for integration with the Google Home and Alexa voice assistants. Instructions for voice assistants can be found on the blebox.eu website or at this link.
Can the rollerGate controller be flush-mounted?
Yes, provided you ensure that the front panel can be removed and that there is easy access to the cables.
