What is the ampBox amplifier used for?
The ampBox is a professional, four-channel LED amplifier, designed for use in both traditional and smart low-voltage LED installations. It is used to increase the power of the controlled load (e.g. long LED strips with wLightBox, wLightBoxS, lightBox, proxiSwitch, proxiDimmer, twilightSwitch, reflectiveSwitch, pixelBox, etc.) Galvanic isolation, high-quality components and the use of a non-flammable polyurethane compound enhance safety during use and the product’s durability.
Which products (not just BleBox) can the ampBox be used with?
Any 12–24V DC products whose total current draw does not exceed 20A (5A per channel when using one ampBox). The most common application is as an amplifier for long LED strips or high-power LED strips controlled by a driver. Examples of BleBox products that can be used with the ampBox
: – wLightBox,
– wLightBoxS,
– lightBox,
– proxiSwitch,
– proxiDimmer,
– twilightSwitch,
– reflectiveSwitch,
– pixelBox
What is the maximum power handling of the ampBox amplifier?
The unit can be powered by 12 or 24V DC; the maximum current is 5A per channel (20A in total), which translates to 240W (for a 12V power supply) and 480W (for a 24V power supply), i.e. 60W per channel (for 12V) and 120W per channel (for 24V)
How do I connect the ampBox amplifier?
Connection instructions can be found in the ampBox manual, which is available on the blebox.eu website or via this link.
