**What is the twilightSwitch controller used for?**
The twilightSwitch controller is a twilight sensor for 12–24 V DC LED strips, which smoothly switches the lighting on and off. The controller features a wide-angle light-sensitive element and an advanced algorithm for filtering out extraneous light, which prevents false activations (e.g. from streetlights) and the flickering effect (e.g. caused by passing cars).

**How does the lighting switch on?**
The lighting switches on automatically with a gradual fade-in (over approx. 2 seconds) when ‘darkness’ is detected (i.e. below approx. 1 lx).
The lighting switches off automatically with a gradual dimming (over approx. 2 seconds) when ‘brightness’ is detected; the controller has built-in hysteresis, which prevents it from ‘flickering’ in the morning.

**How do I power the twilightSwitch, and what is the maximum load?**
The maximum load is 5A, which corresponds to 60W for a 12V power supply and 120W for a 24V power supply. The device must be powered from the same source as the LED strip.

**Is the twilightSwitch suitable for aluminium profiles with a diffuser?**
Yes! The twilightSwitch controller can be concealed within LED profiles fitted with a diffuser. The driver has minimal ‘self-light’ output; however, it is recommended to position it away from (i.e. shield it against) excessive exposure to its own light.

**Does the reflectiveSwitch have Wi-Fi? Is it possible to read or transmit its status via Wi-Fi?**
The reflectiveSwitch controller does not have Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, it is not possible to connect any Wi-Fi module to this controller.
