# switchBox / switchBox LIGHT / switchBoxT PRO

**What is the maximum power that the switchBox / switchBox LIGHT / switchBoxT PRO can switch?**
*switchBox:*
 - For resistive loads (5–230 V AC), e.g. heaters or traditional incandescent bulbs: 3,680 W.
 - For inductive loads (IEC 60947-4-1), e.g. motors: 750 W.
 - For capacitive loads, e.g. LED luminaires, the maximum power is difficult to determine. Capacitive loads are characterised by a high inrush current, which may exceed the rated current several times over. It is not recommended to install more than 6–8 20W luminaires.

 *switchBox LIGHT:*
- For resistive loads (5–230 V AC), e.g. heaters or traditional incandescent bulbs: 1150 W.
 - For inductive loads (IEC 60947-4-1), e.g. motors: 200 W.
 - For capacitive loads, e.g. LED luminaires, the maximum power is difficult to determine. Capacitive loads are characterised by a high inrush current, which may exceed the rated current several times over. We do not recommend connecting more than 3 x 20W LED luminaires.

 *switchBoxT PRO*
*:*- For resistive loads (5–230V AC), e.g. heaters or traditional incandescent bulbs: 3 x 3680W (total ~11kW).
- For DC loads (5–24 V DC): 3 × ~380 W (total ~1.14 kW).
- For inductive loads (IEC 60947-4-1), e.g. motors: 3 x ~750W (total ~2.25kW).
 - For capacitive loads, e.g. LED luminaires, the maximum power is difficult to determine. Capacitive loads are characterised by a high inrush current, which may exceed the rated current several times over. It is not recommended to install more than 6–8 20W luminaires per channel.

**Can a button be connected to the switchBox / switchBox LIGHT / switchBoxaT PRO?**
Yes, you can connect a monostable button without backlighting or a bistable button without backlighting.

**What is the default state of the **switchBox**** **/ switchBox LIGHT / switchBoxT PRO controller after a power restart?**
As configured by the user (last setting, opposite setting, off, on)

**Staircase/cross-circuit switch with a **switchBox**** / **switchBox LIGHT controller. Can a single **switchBox**** /**switchBox LIGHT be used to create a staircase/cross-circuit switch?**

The wiring diagram for other controllers in the switchBox series will be the same.

**Is it possible to switch on the **switchBox****/ **switchBox LIGHT / **switchBoxT PRO**** **controller for a specific duration?**
Yes, ‘timed’ activation can be set via the control screen (the value must be set in the controller’s settings) or via a physical button – action (trigger: ‘activate for a set time’). These times can vary; for example, 2 minutes when a physical button connected to the IN input is pressed, and 10 minutes when switched on via the app. Each subsequent ‘timed switch-on’ command during the countdown restarts the timer from a new value. For example, if you have a button with a ‘turn on for a set time’ option set to 2 minutes, you switch on the light with it and press the button again after one minute; the light will only switch off 2 minutes after the button was last pressed.
