# dacBoxD DC

**What is the dacBoxD DC controller used for?**
The BleBox dacBoxD DC controller is used to generate an analogue signal in the 0–10V / 1–10V / 0–5V standard, allowing you to control devices fitted with a voltage input. It enables you to control, amongst other things, lighting dimmers, fan speed, device power and the position of actuators.
**IMPORTANT! The controller requires the output voltage to be pre-configured – do not connect a load before configuring the controller.**

**Can a button**
**be connected to the dacBoxD DC controller?** A maximum of 2 wired buttons can be connected to the BleBox dacBoxD DC controller.
Both monostable (bell-type) and bistable (traditional) buttons without backlighting are supported, and their behaviour can be configured in the wBox app.

**What is the initial state of the dacBoxD DC controller after a power restart?**
The controller’s operating mode following a power restart can be configured as the last state, the opposite state, the output off, or the output on.

**Is it possible to switch on the dacBoxD DC controller for a specific period of time?**
The timed switch-on function is not available directly within the wBox app and requires the use of[API calls](https://technical.blebox.eu/openapi_wlightbox/openAPI_wLightBox_20200229.html) to the BleBox controller.
